The fuse box: The heart of digitalSTROM

A digitalSTROM Smart Home is based on a decentralised concept. This means that each device has its own artificial intelligence. The devices need only be connected to the supply lines via  digitalSTROM lustre terminals for this purpose. In this way, analogue devices can easily become part of a digitalSTROM Smart Home. All additional network components required are installed on a top-hat rail in a fuse box.

digitalSTROM filter (dSF)

The digitalSTROM filter (dSF) is installed in the sub-distributor on the top-hat rail as part of your Smart Home system. It is used, for example, to filter faults in the mains network, as well to decouple other installations from the digitalSTROM platform.

digitalSTROM meter (dSM)

The digitalSTROM meter (dSM) coordinates communication between the connected devices in each circuit. In addition, the dsM accurately measures power consumption. For example, values can be visualised and evaluated with a  server app .

digitalSTROM server (dSS)

The digitalSTROM server (dSS) is designed to be a versatile computer for various tasks. It is used to couple the hardware with the dsM and thus with the mains, and establishes access to the IP network and the internet.

digitalSTROM terminals: Leading lights in your Smart Home

digitalSTROM terminals digitise and network all analogue devices such as  lampsshuttersheating systems and buttons. The terminals can easily fit into the installation sockets thanks to their small size. They are equipped with appropriate standard device behaviour for different device classes.

Lighting Terminal M (GE KM)

The digitalSTROM terminal B allows you to incorporate permanently installed 230-V ceiling or wall lamps (depending on the type up to max 150W). This integrates all lamps fully into the network and allows for individually created lighting scenarios as well as interaction with the various digitalSTROM functionalities. Just as you wish.

Universal module (GE-UMV)

The universal module allows LED converters and light ballasts to be integrated into the digitalSTROM platform with an analogue dimming unit (1-10 V or 0-10 V). There are four output channels, as well as an input for a pushbutton. You can completely switch off the supply to connected devices via a switch output.

Cord dimmer S (GE-SDS)

The S cord dimmer for switching on or dimming lamps has already been pre-assembled with a plug and cable. digitalSTROM products are networked differently than conventional cord dimmers. You don’t control just the connected light with the S cord dimmer, but other networked lamps in the room too. The cord dimmer also has a second button that can be configured to your liking. In this way, for example, you can individually configure shading  or call up the ‘panic function’.

Cord dimmer M (GE-SDM)

The M cord dimmer can be used as a foot switch and has the same scope of functions as the S cord dimmer, but unlike the latter, it only features a single button. This can be used to call up moods by pressing it several times. The cord dimmer only has to be fitted into the lamp’s cable to automatically become a part of your digitalSTROM Smart Home.

Blinds, shutters and awnings

Electrical blinds, shutters or awnings can be easily opened and closed with digitalSTROM, and can thus become part of your Smart Home system. For example, shading can be controlled via a button if required, or it can respond automatically to the sun’s position or the weather conditions.

Heating/air conditioning

The digitalSTROM terminal BL-KM lets you incorporate the electrical heating valves in the heating manifold and in radiators into your digitalSTROM Smart Home. This makes it possible to control the indoor climate through various functions such as night setbacks or automatic remote control of temperature and minimum flow rates.

Bells and garage doors

The SW-UMR relay universal module enables direct access to DC voltage and low-voltage devices as well as switches – from conventional doorbells and door openers to garage doors and actuators with end-position monitoring. In this way, switching states can be checked and controlled directly at all times.

Wall buttons

The digitalSTROM button terminal (SW-TKM) is used to connect commercially available buttons from any range of switches as control points. For example, lights or full lighting scenes that have been networked differently can be called up with just one button as a result, regardless of the configuration.

Mobile buttons

The panic button is a digitalSTROM cord button (RT-SDM) that has been pre-configured for the ‘safety’ area of application. It can be inserted into any socket that has been networked via a digitalSTROM meter (dSM).

Automation terminal (SW-AKM)

The digitalSTROM automation terminal (SW-AKM) is used when values are meant to be consulted as a trigger for activities and automated processes in the home. Up to four sensors with 230V switching output (such as motion detectors, smoke sensors or wind and rain monitors) can be connected to the automation terminal. Extra cabling to network the sensors is not required.

dS-ready devices

dS-ready devices are devices that have already been fitted with digitalSTROM technology and instantly become part of your digitalSTROM system via Plug-and-Play. Various dS-ready devices are available for an amazing Smart Home experience, thanks to a large number of technology partnerships and cooperation agreements with different manufacturers.

Wall-mounted control units

Wall-mounted control units can also be used to control the Smart Home system from digitalSTROM alongside buttons, apps for mobile terminal devices or voice control. The  Thanos S dS  device from our partners Thermokon Sensortechnik GmbH can be put into operation instantly due to its ‘dS-ready’ feature. It becomes part of your digitalSTROM Smart Home system immediately after connecting it to the mains network and can be immediately put into use.

Multifunctional in-room controller for ventilation group control and the recording of room temperature and atmospheric humidity.

IC Switch

Switch with integrated digitalSTROM technology. An inner LED light displays the digitalSTROM functionalities. Only L and N will still be connected through spring clips.

Integral motion detector

This quiet PIR sensor from our partner IC Industrielle Computertechnik GmbH is available as a dS-ready device. It transmits motion reports to the digitalSTROM platform directly. This makes it possible to trigger safety functions that have been determined individually or conduct them to other connections.

Plugged-in motion detector

digitalSTROM technology has already been installed in the connector part of the IC plug PIR. In this way, this motion detector becomes a sensor that can be inserted into any socket – making it incredibly easy to retrofit – and that delivers sensor values to digitalSTROM.

Standalone and table lamps

dS-ready devices are available for the digitalSTROM platform. The ‘Poppy’ dimmable table light from Serien Lighting offers flexible adjustment options for customised lighting design. It is available with digitalSTROM technology ex factory.
